Robert Bowen
Robert Bowen has been working as a highly sought after percussion designer/ instructor since 1998. In his 14 years as a percussion designer/instructor, he has worked with more than 30 percussion programs at the High School, Independent, and Drum Corps level. Robert currently teaches at four high schools in the Southern California area including Nogales and Trabuco Hills. Most recently he helped to start the Pulse Open percussion program in 2011 where he was the ensemble coordinator and drill designer for the past two years. Robert also writes drill and consults for numerous percussion ensembles across the country. His most influential teacher in his performance upbringing would definitely have to be Mike Jackson. Robert marched under Mike Jackson all through high school and Black Knights Indoor 2002 and 2003 where they won an Independent World silver medal. Robert is grateful for all the knowledge and advice that he has passed on to him. Robert is endorsed by Vic Firth Drumsticks and Remo Drumheads. He currently lives in Orange, California.
